My thoughts on Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips

http://www.sallyhansen.com/products/nails/nail-color/salon-effects-real-nail-polish-strips

Hey guys,

Sorry it's been a while, I just thought I would tell you guys my thoughts on these strips because I used them for the first time this week.

So one of the things I was worried about was the application of these, it does look really difficult. I've watched a ton of tutorials on it so I had a pretty good idea of how to do it. The friend that I did it with struggled because she had never seen them applied before. I actually didn't find it too difficult to apply them, the first one was a little difficult because you don't really know what to expect. They are a lot more durable then I thought that they would be, so if you make a mistake you can sometimes peal them off and place them again. My friend actually ripped a few but I never had that trouble.

Some complaints I do have though are: the strips are kind of in between my nail sizes, so all of them are a little too small, you can't really tell unless you look really up close though. Also if you have really big finger nails, or thumb nails this will not work for you. Also they smell really funky, like nail polish plus the most disgusting sweaty person you will ever meet, for like days after too. I washed my hands a million times and it would not stop smelling. Also, they're expensive, like almost 9 dollars.

The good things: I have a shaky hand with nail polish so this works well for me because none goes outside of your nail. Also they're a lot more durable then normal polish, I've had them on for three days now and so far there are no chips!

I used the gold color and my friend used the houndstooth and they both looked really cool, I wish I could show you guys a picture but unfortunately I do not currently have access to a camera.

All in all if you're like me and like to try new things, I think this is worth a try!

I hope you all have a nice day!

Two things, Y'all should try! (in the nail area)

Okay so I went around today and did a bit of shopping and I stopped by Winners, which now has a awesome beauty section, they sell a ton of make up and nail polish. So there I bought:
An essie nail polish remover! it's supposed to be natural and such and it does smell decent, like really not as bad as normal stuff. It also works really well! Like Zoya well, so definitely better then just any drug store one. I think the best thing about it is the smell! Not being so smelly.

And second is a brand of nail polish and other cosmetics, the brand is GOSH I own a nail polish from them and a lipstick but the nail polishes are like 7 dollars, which is amazing and they're pretty and yeah!

I got a really nice deep teal color and it only took 2 coats to be completely opaque!

You guys should check that shit!

Is it worth all the hype? (The naked Palette)

Hola,

So about a week ago my dad came to visit me, so we went shopping. One of the three things he bought me was the Naked Palette. This was something I had wanted for a long time, there is a lot of hype surrounding it, but I could never bring myself to spend $58 (yes it costs $58 in canada) on it. Anyways, he bought it for me.

I know the Naked 2 is about to come out but I'm behind the times okay? I must say, i do not regret this purchase (even though I didn't buy it.) I think it's the perfect travel kit and I love the brush it comes with. I love the texture of the shadows... I know that sounds odd but they're just so soft and nice to apply. I have the "we don't do animal testing, how could anyone?"  palette, also buy urban decay, and these shadows are about the same. Something I love about the naked palette is that: there is not a shade I would not wear. I just find it hard for me to wear greens and blues, I find most palettes have at least one. Although I am in the search for a nice navy blue and a dark foresty green.

But yeah, I do suggest you go and pick yourself up and Naked Palette, even though they're expensive. I think if you have this, there are so many looks you can create, it's not necessary to have other eye shadow. Although, it's always fun to have other eye shadow. If you're looking for a practical everyday palette, this is the one.

Yup, that's all I have to say about that... I do want to know if I would like the Naked 2 better but hopefully I will find out soon... It's super hard to find right now.

Anyways, enough of my rambling,

Good day all!

What I want for Christmas! make up.

Okay so I have a huge list of make up I want for Christmas. But I thought I would do them by store at a time and so the first one is Sephora, which I want a lot from but yeah. I thought if you maybe know someone who likes make up or who doesn't have a lot of make but wants more this could be a help...maybe.

So I'm going to try to go in alphabetical order

 So from Benefit I want:

Dandelion Blush
http://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P38347&categoryId=B70

And this one is $28 which is a lot.

The other product that I want from Benefit is:

 Hoola Bronzer
http://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P8940&categoryId=B70
And again this is $28 dollars...

So the next brand is Kat Von D, which is a company I do not own anything from yet.

I just want one of the True Romance Palettes, I couldn't decide which one because I honestly like them all. They are http://sephora.com/search/search_results.jhtml?command=text&attr1=kat+von+d+true+romance&attr2=&%2Fcom%2Fsephora%2Fsearch%2Fendeca%2Fui%2FEndecaSearchFormHandler.search=search&_D%3A%2Fcom%2Fsephora%2Fsearch%2Fendeca%2Fui%2FEndecaSearchFormHandler.search=+&maxRecords=18&recordOffset=0&seeAllCategory=false&searchString=kat+von+d+true+romance&x=39&y=5&_DARGS=%2Fincludes%2FsearchFinder.jhtml

So some of them are $34 and then the $24 dollars which is a good price!

And then from Laura Mercier I want the Illuminizer but I can't seem to find it anywhere right now.

I'm going to leave you guys with this for today. If I brake up the list maybe you guys won't notice how giant it is and how greedy I am... joking, kind of.

That's all for now kids!

I'm STILL on the search for a good mascara

So this time I tried Bare Escentials: bare Minerals Brushless Mascara.
http://www.bareescentuals.com/on/demandware.store/Sites-BareEscentuals-Site/default/Product-Show?pid=masterBrushless&start=6&cgid=BE_SUB_MASCARA&brandID=BE&cm_mmc=Google-_-New_GGL_Branded_-_Bare_Minerals_-_Eyes-_-BM_Mascara_-bare_minerals_brushless_mascara_Phrase_Match

I will admit: at first I thought this mascara was amazing. And it is good, but it still doesn't do everything I want it to do. The different thing about this mascara is that it doesn't have a brush, instead it's wand has tiny little grooves in it. I think the purpose of this is to separate lashes better then a brush. I feel this it actually does this well.

I was looking for a mascara that separated lashes, so this does that one thing but the problem I have with it is that I feel that it's not dramatic enough for me. So maybe I do want a little clump? That's my problem, I guess I just want in between no clumps and such large clumps that I only have 8 lashes on my entire eye.

Another thing about this products is: it takes a LONG time to put on, because there's such a small amount of product on the wand that you have to go over all your eye lashes many more times then a normal mascara. I never considered myself impatient with mascara because I would love my eye lashes to look perfect but apparently I am. I would love this mascara if it were just a little bit more noticeable. I must admit I have gone back to doubling mascara's again. If I use benefit's Bad Gal Lash first and then this after to separate I do like the look, although it is time consuming.

So, since I've realized that maybe I can't get away from using two products, I'm going to try out some eye lash primers. I am not sure which ones yet though but I will definitely review them for  you!

That's all for now kids!

Intro

Hi everybody,

So basically, I wanted to be into pin up and pin up style but what I discovered from there was the Youtube beauty community. I started doing a few beauty type blog entries but I felt that it was out of place on that blog. I've decided to start a new blog with a different theme. It should still be beauty and fashion themed. So yeah, hopefully I will write more then I did before on this one particularly because I won't feel weird to.

I think that's all for now
